The statement pointed to the GCC's observation delegation visits to a number of polling stations, saying the Gulf observers had expressed satisfaction at the high level turnout of voters.

The observers commended management and security measures made by the Supreme Commission for Election and Referendum (SCER) and the competent government bodies to facilitate the ballot process.
